Last Monday we had a nice day of weather so we headed to the zoo! We had so much fun as the zoo was not busy and the animals were actually out moving around!
Since we are snowed in today I thought I'd share a few pics from our Field Trip!
Our first stop was the Petting Zoo where the boys got to see the Goats, Pigs, Sheep, Chickens and Donkeys.
They got to see the Snakes, Turtles and Frogs.
They reopened the flamingo and large turtle area! Which the boys were thrilled about. They love the turtles!
The rhinoceros was up and moving which was nice to see! In the summer time we normally don't get to see him!
We also saw the Gorillas and Orangutans. I think the boys made a friend the Orangutan. He saw them standing at the window and came running with his Onions in hand and they though he was hilarious!
The Bears the boys loved that they weren't in the water this time and they could actually see how big they are!
The otters put on a great show for us! The boys loved running back and forth following the otters!
The Bald Eagle which was rescued after an accident and can no longer fly.
And the one lonely Alligator. Not sure what happened to the others that they used to have but at least there was one as the boys were excited to see the Alligators!
We had a great day and I was so happy it stayed nice!
Now for today Id be happy if itd quit snowing. Here's a pic of what our current weather looks like today.
And we have gotten a few more inches since this pic was taken!
Have a Great Day and Stay Warm!
