Our New School Room

A while back we moved our school stuff into our back bedroom. I have played around with the setup for several weeks. Now that I have finally figured out our setup I figured Id share a few pics! (we still need to paint)

First up is our Calendar/Circle Time Area. Most of our Calendar area came from 1+1+1=1. ( I am set up for February as we don't do school on Mondays)
The Calendar I bought at Mardel's. To the left of the Calendar is our Season and Weather Chart. To the Right is our Letter, State, Trait, Color, Shape, and Animal of the Day. The cups below hold those in them for easy picking for the day. Then to the right of the red paper is our songs we sing during Circle Time.

Then to the right of our Calendar Area is the closet which I made colored crayons and put them on the door.

To the right of that is our Tot School Area. The shelf is where I put our 6 activities for each day. And then after that is done Dylan can have free reign of the blocks and Magneatos. On the door is our U-Play Mat that we won in a Giveaway from 1+1+1=1.

To the Right of the Tot School area is our posters and our State Map. Plus below that is our Sensory Bin area. We do our Sensory Bin on a blanket for easy cleanup.

Then on the opposite wall in the left hand corner is Austins table for his Preschool work. I will be putting his weekly key cards, and papers up on the wall in his area as he does them.

That's Our School Room! Lets see how long I can keep it looking this way and not rearranging it!

  1. I like that you have the calendar set up for floor time. We have struggled with a good placement for ours.

  2. I like having it on the floor as the boys seem more engaged in it and there are no distractions in that area.

  3. I finally found our perfect spot right around Thanksgiving. Doesn't it feel great having a place for everything? I love our new schoolroom!
